A kinetic art object from the "Branches" project.
Exclusively represented by Palaty Gallery.

“When the trees were tall”

Willow is a tree of childhood. It stood by a pond, not far from my grandmother’s house – tall and mighty, with long weeping branches that trailed into the water and swayed in the light wind. It always seemed half-asleep, half-alive, breathing with the world around it. It felt like a wise, kind grandmother – steady and gentle, the kind that stays in your heart long after you’ve grown up. It seems everyone has their own willow.

The "Branches" project explores how a tree can become a vessel for memory, connecting us to a specific place, time, and feeling. "Willow" is a kinetic echo of that universal tree of childhood. It embodies the saying, "the trees used to be taller," capturing the magic of a memory that remains constant and mighty even as the world around it changes in our perception. It is not merely an image of nature, but a bridge to the inner landscape of recollection.
