WHO IS THIS ONLINE MASTER CLASS FOR?
Suitable for those who already have experience of creating stained glass, or who have previously taken my main Master Class and now want to expand the possibilities of displaying stained glass.
-
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THIS ONLINE MASTER CLASS?
In this Master Class .stands, you'll learn my method of attaching Tiffany technique stained glass to a brass rod to create a freestanding stained glass piece on a stand.
I'll explain in great detail the method I have worked out and use for my stained glass work.
This Master Class .stands is an extension of my main Master Class, where I talk in detail about the assembly method for creating stained glass in the Tiffany technique. My method is quite specific. So my recommendation is that you take this Master Class .stands in a bundle with the main course, because here I'm explaining and demonstrating points that are exclusively related to attaching a brass rod to a stained glass piece and some of them are based on the knowledge and skills I explain in the main course.
I'll guide you through every step of the process, from pattern preparation to what I use as stands.
– First, I'll introduce you to the materials and tools I use to create stained glass on a stand, in addition to all those from the main master class.
– Then I'll outline the basic design principle for your general understanding.
– I’ll show you how to prepare a pattern and what points you should pay attention to at this stage.
– I’ll tell you what variations of fastener design there are.
After that I get to the practical part.
– I'll prepare the rods, show how to integrate them most discreetly into a stained glass piece, and then I'll move on to the soldering and finishing stages of the work.
– And finally, I'll share information about stands - what they can be made of and what can be used as a stand. And as a bonus, I’ll describe how the fastener design works in bookends.
All material is divided into units - separate lessons, so that it is convenient for you to navigate through the stages, of which there are 6 in total.

Lena Zaycman
stained glass designer and maker
Lena is known for her work being full of tiny details, extremely neat and with very fine solder lines. Her works live in many countries around the world, participate in exhibitions and are printed in the press.
Lena Zaycman is a stained glass designer and maker, born in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Graduated in 2011 she holds a degree in Advertising, but her love for art and engineering mindset led her down a different path.
After years of constructing large, highly complex stained glass pieces for residential buildings, she gradually moved to creating self-contained art objects that could be easily integrated into interior spaces and opened her own studio in 2017.
Using the classic Tiffany technique in the base, but not limiting herself to it, she looks for ways to combine glass with other materials such as brass, plexiglass, ceramics & etc.
